The World Trade Organization, or WTO, was created in 1995 to oversee and increase all free trade across the globe. The definition of WTO's free trade, many argue, does not include the harms and negative effects being felt by billions of the world's poorest members of society, or the positive effects being felt by thousands of the wealthiest ones.
