Buena Onda Records12 Tracks, 7 Artists, One Music: Buena Onda Records Set to Release First Volume of 'Microscapes'

The first Volume of Buena Onda's MICROSCAPES compilations can be quite accurately described by this sole equation. Through more than 80 minutes of fresh, inventive and groovy techno, the MICROSCAPES artists demonstrate great diversity in their approach to what a "minimal-influenced" techno or tech-house track can be, and yet all 12 tracks unfold as if they were made to be mixed together.

From the first bell of Eyeone's opening number to the last note of Freedarich & Stiggsen's exquisitely en vogue closing track, melodic techno opens and closes the album, while reappearing here and there along the tracklist, but rhythmic architectures and sound-designing wizardry are not left behind : deep throbbing basslines, mysterious clicks, magnetic glitches and meanly tweaked drum machines are all in there too.

From Germany to Argentina, Russia and France, we have a selection of brilliant interpretations of what a classy, soulful and sometimes playful, sobre techno tune can be. No loopy-feeling stuff, no dark stuff in there, just pure big-smile-in-your-face, dip-in-your-hip 'n' glide-in-your-stride music.
