Murk's Oscar G. teams up with Legendary NYC house label Nervous Records for "Nervous Nitelife: Space Miami"

On October 23, legendary NYC underground house label Nervous Records will release Oscar G's new CD/DVD project entitled Nervous Nitelife: Space Miami. Recorded live at Space Miami and complete with all the attendant sound effects (crowd noise, special effects), Nervous Nitelife: Space Miami brings both the music and the vibe straight into your living room.

As one half of influential Miami DJ / production team MURK, Oscar G. has been an instrumental force in shaping the landscape for today's international dance music scene. Now in his seventh year as resident DJ at Miami's renowned Club Space, Oscar G. is the master of ceremonies for the hottest house music parties on the planet. His regular ten-hour marathon sets have become the stuff of legends, and it has become perhaps the most influential residency in North America. Indeed, in 2003 Oscar was voted America's Best Resident DJ by DJ Times magazine and Club Systems International. Oscar once again took home the award for Best Resident DJ at the 2007 Club World Awards.

Rather than recycle the same old tracks currently making the compilation rounds, Oscar G packed Nervous Nitelife: Space Miami to the hilt with tracks destined to be massive in 2008 - including Bingo Cache' - "Dancin' (Cue's Original Mix)," Sebastien Leger - "Mars," Murk production partner Ralph Falcon's "Need Someone (Stoned Someone Remix.)" and his own new production "Chunky Buddha." In total, the mix features 17 of the darkest, dirtiest and most up front club tracks on the planet. The bonus DVD features a real-time video recording of Space during Oscar's Space Miami set and provides a "dance-floor eye view" of the way Oscar "owns" the mega-hot Miami club crowd that turns out for him. In addition, there are interviews with Miami nitelife celebrities who give their own views on what makes Oscar such a unique entity.

As two of the most influential names in modern electronic club music, the alliance between Oscar G and Nervous Records was inevitable. Launched in 1991 by Michael Weiss, Nervous Records has built its reputation through a willingness to take chances on new sounds and new producers. Nervous was the first American label to sign and release tracks from such dance industry luminaries as Armand Van Helden, Paul Van Dyk and Nuyorican Soul. Nervous-released tracks such as Winx's (Josh Wink) classic "Don't Laugh" became the sound of a whole new generation, while t-shirts bearing Nervous' iconic logo became its most accepted garb. Recently Nervous has made an energetic move into the compilation market with its Nervous Nitelife series. While some compilation series try to chase a trend, or smother the market with remixes of pop hits, the Nervous Nitelife series will be a reflection of the musical tastes of the Nervous DJ community.
