Viva Records, Simon BakerViva Music Signs on 'Confused' by Simon Baker

'If its good, play it', the sign of a good DJ.  That’s just what Simon Baker is.  Plying his trade for the past 15 years, as DJ, producer and now label boss (Infant Records), it is 2007 that is really seeing Simon come into his own.

It was 2004 that his debut production under his 'Liptrick' alias brought him a whole host of big name fans. It found its way into the bags, and compilations of Tiefschwarz, Damian Lazarus, and Dan Ghenacia amonst others, and was signed to Ralph Lawson's highly respected 2020 Vision label as part of an album deal.

As well as signing and producing new material for 'Infant',  This year and in particularly the next few months, you will see a host of his productions coming thick and fast on a variety of labels. His awesome 'Plastik' which is already being rinsed by the likes of Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Ewan Pearson, Carl Craig and more has been signed up to the mighty Playhouse Records.

This year Simon has been supporting Steve Lawler on a number of dates, and it was Steve who snapped up the release we bring to you today.   After witnessing the damage it causes he swiftly signed 'CONFUSED' to Viva Music.

Not only that, but he has managed to get one of our favourite producers on board to provide the remix. David K is without doubt one of the finest talents to make his mark on this scene over the last few years, and with recent releases on Cocoon and Tsuba, is riding higher than ever. Viva Music are proud to have him on remix duty!
