Downtown Miami, MARCH 23, 2008 - Last night was historical for Miami residents as MARY J BLIGE and JAY Z kicked of their HEART OF THE CITY TOUR at the American Airline Arena. Tickets for the concert sold out at the same speed as presale tickets for the after party at KARU&Y presented by HEADLINER MARKET GROUP and hosted by the queen of R&B, MARY J BLIGE. Immediately after the Heart of the City Tour concert featuring an opening act by THE DREAM, JAY Z, and MARY J. BLIGE let out, a herd of individuals anxiously paved their way to KARU&Y to take part in this memorable event with MARY J. BLIGE and her celebrity friends.

Mary J was accompanied by her manager and husband KENDU ISAACS as she danced and popped bottles of Ace of Spades to the musical soundtracks of Rock-A-Fella's resident DJ, DJ CLUE. Special appearances were made by FABULOUS, BUSTA RHYMES, DWAYNE WADE, NFL players PLAXICO BURRESS, ANTREL ROLL, FRED TAYLOR, LARRY JOHNSON, BRYANT MCKINNEY, comedian RAYZOR and super model and TV correspondent TOCCARA. The party didn't stop till 5 am as the industry's best continued to stroll through the door.
