  Made Down Deep: WMC 2006

Made Down Deep WMC 2006: March 23-28, 2006, Made Event means the best DJs, the best music and the best sound. Period.

This Winter Music Conference, Made Down Deep brings us the best in talent & sound at a series of parties that go off the deep end for the ultimate quality clubbing experience.  Made Event means the best DJs, the best music and the best sound. Period.

This year Made Event sets itself apart with Integral Sound supplying and engineering the sound for their WMC events at B.E.D. and Pawn Shop. An Integral Sound 18-wheel tractor-trailer is heading due south from Philadelphia to Miami, chock full of sound equipment that will be utilized along with the latest in cutting edge audio technology to create customized sound solutions. The Integral Sound is warm, enveloping, and precise without the aural irritation and listening fatigue so common in other sound systems.  This is the perfect sound system for the ultimate party week no matter what you fancy; techno, house, trance, or tech-house, minimal or full-throttle - you’ll love the way it sounds.

Border Community Showcase / “At the Controls” CD Release Party

JAMES HOLDEN | PETTER (Live US debut)

Thursday, March 23, 2006

10pm-5pm

B.E.D (929 Washington Avenue)

$20 advance www.ticketweb.com

Made Down Deep kicks off WMC 2006 @ B.E.D with one of electronica’s favorite new heroes, James Holden. Over the past five years, James and his steadfast, unique musical vision has won over the progressive, trance and now the techno legions. Holden was rated International DJ of the Year 2004, Go Magazine (Spain) for his DJ sets that infuse a bundle of previously unheard fresh production and top quality tunes. His new mix CD AT THE CONTROLS (RESIST 2xCD) (UK: March / US: May), creates an edit-heavy hybrid sound all of his own which has crossed traditional genre boundaries. Holden’s tracks slot seamlessly into the sets of techno, trance, progressive, house and electro. More recent developments on the studio front include Holden & Thompson track “Come To Me” and Holden's “The Wheel,” featured on the seminal Cocoon Compilation E. All this has propelled James into URB’s Next 100 artists to watch in the April 2006 issue. Join us as he writes the next chapter in his musical manifesto.

From an audience of two billion people watching the XXth Olympic Winter Games opening ceremony in Torino, Richie brings us a night of complete intimacy at B.E.D.  Long known for pushing and manipulating the boundaries of technology and music, Richie is the consummate evolving electronic artist. Hawtin’s latest release DE9: TRANSITIONS utilizes Abelton Live and ProTools software to strip apart, and then reassemble, his component tracks to make completely new pieces of music, combining multiple elements simultaneously into a constantly shifting collage of sound. With the use of new recording advances and automation techniques Richie is the master of reinvention and emerges with each live performance to create an immersive sonic experience.

Now in its fifth year, Danny’s party has finally moved to a much-needed larger venue to match his high demand. His latest release Azuli Presents: Danny Howells CHOICES, explores his all time classic tracks that reflect his long DJ career and varied musical influences. His marathon sets were a staple of his NYC Made Event residency and for the first time at conference, Danny bring us 10 hours of his own music history to the dancefloor – past, present & future.  Danny's infectious personality and his connection with the crowd wherever he plays has fully earned him the label as "the clubbers DJ." He continues to endure as one of the very few DJs to stand the test of time and is a perennial Miami favorite.

Be Yourself Annual

DANNY TENAGLIA

Monday March 27th 2006

11pm-???

Pawn Shop (1222 N.E. Second Ave, Miami)

$25 advance www.ticketweb.com

Danny Tenaglia’s main event of winter music week is always the cornerstone of conference for the international dance music industry and clubbing community. This annual party is a who’s who of superstar DJs, industry movers-and-shakers and global clubbers in attendance and is the highlight for many of the dedicated throngs.  This year’s move to Pawn Shop heralds a significant one in terms of venue and sound. The intimacy of the space and theme behind the unique, kitschy distinctive décor and personality of Pawn Shop mirrors that of Danny’s “Be Yourself” philosophy.  Danny’s party also represents the best of an underground NYC vibe and the pre-ordained party people. With the addition of Integral Sound to the venue’s main room, terrace and adjoining side rooms, Danny’s music will be heard as intended for the best in quality, crisp sound. A must for a party that will go well into Tuesday evening, and what is sure to be the longest set all week. Get ready! The Be Yourself Annual is already slated to go down as another legendary party as Danny goes off the deep end.
