and students during the anti-war movement.
MoveOn Student Action
launched it’s “Feel a Draft” campaign
on Monday with an open letter to President Bush that
ran as an ad called “Will You Call On Us To Die?”
in the New York Times. More than 65,000 young voters
demanding a specific plan to avoid the need for a draft
as well as an exit strategy to end the war in Iraq signed
the letter. Additional print ads ran in 155 campus papers
in battleground states this week.
Crobar New York has
been very active in the political arena in recent months
hosting campaign stops for several Democratic candidates,
including John Kerry and John Edwards, parties for move-on.org,
and a recent debate watching party sponsored by The
Nation and Air America.
Ken Smith and
Cal Fortis, owners of all three crobar locations in
Chicago, Miami and New York want people to know that
in their estimation "politics is as much a part
of the cultural climate as dance music' and it is an
honor for us to use our clubs
