Remix Hotel Turns Up the Volume in Miami
Microsoft and Beatport present the biggest music
technology showcase of the year
Miami, FL: March 17, 2006 – Beatport
and Microsoft Present Remix Hotel
Miami, Remix magazine’s annual
showcase, returning to Miami for a fourth year and
bringing the nation’s biggest music technology
extravaganza to the discerning music enthusiast and
industry at large from March 22 - 24, 2006, 2:00p.m
to 10:00p.m daily, at The National Hotel, 1677 Collins
Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida.
With free admission to M3 pass holders
and Remix magazine subscribers and for attendees
that register on-site from 2:00 p.m. daily, Beatport,
Microsoft, M3, Remix magazine and partners descend
on South Beach for Three Days of Total Technology
Immersion to offer master classes, workshops,
seminars and clinics on music production and performance
for electronic- and urban-music producers, engineers,
musicians, fans and DJs. Remix Hotel Miami offers
exposure to and training on the hottest products available
for the production and performance markets.
Remix Hotel Miami brings together the
world’s leading music and technology pioneers,
including this year’s event partners that include:
Beatport, Microsoft, M3 Summit, Ableton, Apple
Computer Mackie, Rane, access, M-Audio, Red Fish Media,
Akai, The Recording Academy, Alesis, MIM, Moog, A3TV,

RHMIA has partnered with M3 for a second year to host
their official series of daytime panels and Q&A sessions
with some of the world’s top artists and experts
on today's music production. M3 Summit 2006 Keynote Speakers
will include Chris Anderson, editor
in Chief of WIRED magazine, discussing ‘The
Long Tail: The Radical New Shape of Culture and Commerce,’ along
with Jonathan More and Matt
Black -- the brains behind COLDCUT,
musical innovators, international production pioneers
and founders of Ninja Tune Records. M3 kicks-off
this year’s RHMIA with the M3 Welcome Cocktail
Party presented by Remix Hotel
on Wednesday March 22 at 4:00p.m at
The National Hotel, featuring DJ Krush, Boom
Boom Satellites, plus other DJs to be announced.
This year’s live entertainment will be introduced
by Beatport, one of this year’s
Title Sponsors, in collaboration with M3 and The Remix
Hotel, to bring the Beatport/Remix Hotel/M3 Sunset
Sessions poolside every evening from 5:00p.m
until 10:00pm. The groundbreaking lineup of some of the
world’s leading artists includes performances by Adam
Freeland; C2C (DMC World Champions); Bad
Boy Bill; DJ Dan; Gabriel & Dresden; James
Zabiela; Nick Warren and Richard
Humpty Vission, among many others.
For registering to be part of this year’s RHMIA,
Beatport will be giving each event attendee a gift card
for 10 free downloads. Beatport together with Pioneer
will be also raffling off a free DJ set up consisting
of 2 CDJ -1000's and a Pioneer mixer, each day throughout

in-store this year for RHMIA attendees.

Launched in Miami in March 2003 during the annual Winter
Music Conference, the second Remix Hotel took place later
that year in New York during the annual AES (Audio Engineering
Society) Convention. By the time the Remix Hotel returned
to Miami in 2004, attendance had more than tripled. The
Remix Hotel is now staged annually in Miami, New York
and Los Angeles. Last year, Remix hosted a fourth Hotel
event in Chicago, and this year the Hotel moves to Atlanta.
