The Shelborne Announces Keep A Child Alive Charity WMC 08

Y100 presents The Shelborne WMC08 Event Series, which is known for the hottest events during WMC's for the past several years. This year, Y100 will be broadcasting live from The Shelborne Pool by day. The weeklong celebration starting March 10 and throughout the week of WMC will include contest giveaways for all parties. "Y100, is looking forward to the partnership for WMC 08 and the Shelborne pool party broadcasts.. Being the home of the new Dance show "SEX" makes this a perfect match," says Program Director Rod Phillips. We will be promoting the entire week with our beach patrol, and contests ads Melissa McElroy, Director of Marketing.

The Shelborne has chosen charity "Keep A Child Alive" and will raise money during the 6 days of events to support Free AIDS drugs to kids in need. The money will also help build a new orphanage. 100% of all money raised for the charity will go directly to Africa. It is a great way to do something good this year, says Shelborne Director of Marketing, Dennis Wheeler. Leigh Blake the founder of "Keep A Child Alive" adds, we applaud the Shelborne for helping people from all over the world remember that a week in Miami filled with fun, sun and parties makes it all too easy to forget that people are dying from a treatable disease every second. It costs $1 a day to save the life of child with AIDS in Africa. How can you say no?"
